We are currently recruiting for a qualified individual to fill the role of Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist.   

The Servicing Specialist is responsible for assisting the Commercial Loan Officers and Commercial Lending Operational staff with a variety of administrative, customer service and loan servicing functions.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; however, other duties may be assigned as dictated by business need:  

· Demonstrates understanding of and commitment to the Bank's ongoing mission, vision and core values.   

· Prepares for and boards commercial loans to the core; sets up loans for flood and hazard Insurance tracking.  

· Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all payments, advances and other system maintenance; responsible for ensuring the general ledgers are balanced as required. 

· Process financial transactions for Commercial Lending. These functions include: processing all monetary entries for funding of new loans; loan payoffs; funds received during the origination process; funding for new loans; construction loan disbursements and payments; participation payments; swap payments; Bank Alliance payments and exception payments as required.  

· Responsible for analyzing existing processes to identify areas for operational efficiency using technology and automation.  

· Responsible for assisting with all customer inquiries and requests through all means including the contact center and retail branches. Responsible for research to ensure prompt response and follow through.  

· Responsible to fulfill pay-off requests, process pay-off transactions and complete collateral discharges within regulatory time frames.  

· Performs credit file maintenance and overall commercial quality control duties. Reviews closed loan files for quality control purposes.  

· Works closely with auditors and regulators preparing and presenting documents as requested.   

· Performs additional duties as requested or assigned.  

 Qualifications: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent in addition to a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a professional office environment, preferably within a commercial lending related function (i.e. banking/financial services, attorney or real estate broker). Detail orientation, ability to work successfully with deadlines and time constraints, ability to learn basics of the Bank’s products and services including loan products, self-motivation and decision making skills required. Working knowledge of general banking and lending concepts and principals in addition to experience with and understanding of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and Outlook). Professional demeanor and professional maturity required for working closely with customers, employees, vendors and members of the Board of Directors.
