We have a new opportunity based in our Newburyport Operations Center location for a:
RESIDENTIAL LOAN SERVICING REPRESENTATIVE
Summary: Performs a variety of residential and consumer servicing responsibilities. Acts as a backup for many loan servicing functions. Provides a high level of customer service to all customers, both internal and external.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following; however other duties may be assigned as dictated by business need:
1. Performs customer service functions for residential and consumer servicing.
2. Performs consumer loan boarding responsibilities including post boarding updates in Horizon.
3. Performs quality control of FCM loan documents.
4. Assists with writing and maintaining department procedures.
5. Monitors daily reports relative to exception transactions and principal pay downs; make appropriate corrections.
6. Monitors and ensures accuracy of rate changes for adjustable rate loans and performing corrections if applicable; changes index values weekly.
7. Scan and indexes new loan files and/or loan documents to the image system.
8. Respond to Loan credit disputes.
9. Provides back-up support for the following functions:
a. Consumer Loan processing function
b. Process/ backup the payment and billing process for Forced placed Insurance.
c. Payment of Real Estate Taxes
d. Processing mortgage discharges
10. Completes G/L account reconciliation including resolving reconciling items.
11. Interacts with and responds to questions or issues from external Auditors.
12. Responds to loan credit disputes.
13. Demonstrates understanding and compliance with Bank policies and procedures as well as regulatory guidelines as applicable to the position.
14. Each employee is responsible and accountable for actively engaging and participating in the bank’s ongoing coaching process, on a minimum of a quarterly basis, through participation in one on one coaching sessions, touch-points, and monthly staff meetings.
15. Work with other employees of the department & organization as a positive, enthusiastic and proactive team member.
16. Performs additional duties as requested or assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent in addition to a minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a professional office environment, preferably within a banking/financial services organization. Working knowledge of Debit card functions, ACH rules and regulations, and general ledger accounts. Detail orientation, ability to work successfully with deadlines and time constraints, ability to learn basics of the Bank’s products and services, self-motivation and ability to work well both as an individual contributor and as a team member required. Demonstrated experience with an understanding of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and Outlook). Professional demeanor and professional maturity required for working closely with customers, employees, vendors and others are required.
