Essential duties and responsibilities:     

1. Manages commercial pipeline from origination through to settlement and funding.       

2. Reviews commitment letters and approval documents for consistency and accuracy. Ensures that the appropriate approvals are in place given the characteristics of the transaction.       

3. Prepares attorney memos and new attorney information.      

4. Prepares loan documents according to specifications provided via Loan Approval. Calculates monthly loan payment figures as necessary. Assembles documentation in LaserPro for loan closing.       

5. Obtains corporate status, flood status, OFAC searches, UCC searches, tax liens and judgement searches and any other searches/documentation as requested.       

6. Utilizes knowledge of the Flood Policy, Reb B, HMDA, Reg Z and CRA.      

7. Performs HUD-I reviews.      

8. Processes requests for wire transfers, advances and payments. Onboards new loans to host system after a review of the documentation received for funding has been made. Disburses proceeds according to disbursement instructions.      

9. Closes loans in accordance with Bank policies and appropriate approval documents, ensuring all closing conditions are met.       

10. Assembles loan files and prepares for scanning into documentation system.       

11. Prepares loan corrections.      

12. Follows up with attorneys, other banks, title companies, counties, Secretary of State for return of collateral. Tracks all closing document exceptions.       

13. Calculates and prepares all payoff letters. Processes loan payoffs as requested.       

14. Processes lender requests. Provides customer service to commercial customers.    

15. Processes transfers from lines of credit.      

16. Disburses funds and maintains records for commercial construction loans.      

17. Ensures all required loan conditions (insurance, collateral, etc.) are sufficient and properly documented and in compliance with approval.      

18. Ensures all loans are closed without material, administrative or compliance exceptions.       

19. Determines whether to report to report loans as CRA or HMDA based on provided criteria. Inputs HUMDA/CRA reporting data as required.      

20. Processes participation loans and discharges.       

21. Processes flood and hazard insurance documents to ensure adequate hazard, flood or business insurance and follows up with customers and/or insurance agencies, as required, for policy cancellations and restatements.       

22. Participates in bank training sessions.      

23. Processes loan conversions.      

24. Makes adjustments following audit reviews.      

25. Assists with tax escrow duties.      

26. Sends emails to lenders about pipeline.

28. Prepares and sends correspondence to customers.       


Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent in addition to a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a professional office environment, preferably within a commercial lending related function (i.e. banking/financial services, attorney or real estate broker). Detail orientation, ability to work successfully with deadlines and time constraints, ability to learn basics of the Bank’s products and services including loan products, self-motivation and decision making skills required. Working knowledge of general banking and lending concepts and principals in addition to experience with and understanding of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and Outlook). Professional demeanor and professional maturity required for working closely with customers, employees, vendors and members of the Board of Directors.
