Online Banking

Our flagship online tool, Online Banking is the home base for all of our other digital banking tools. The core benefits of Online Banking include:

  • See real-time account balances to know exactly where you stand
  • Make fast transfers between your accounts
  • Make payments on loans with Newburyport Bank without needing to write a check
  • Download your transaction history into Quicken® or Quickbooks®
  • Review past transactions and see corresponding check images

Online Banking Enrollment Instructions

Customers can visit a branch or call our Online Banking Department at 978-225-8988 for step-by-step guidance on establishing their Online Banking account.


Mx - All of your accounts in one spot

Your financial life is complicated and can be spread across multiple financial institutions. Mx gives you a one-stop look at all of your accounts: bank accounts, credit cards, loans and investments.

Enrollment Instructions: Simply login to online banking, select “Manage Money”, then “Mx” and follow the steps provided.

BillPay - Take the pain out of paying bills

Pay one-time and recurring bills right from your Online Banking account with BillPay! You’ll cut down on the need to buy stamps, and you will be assured that your payment arrives on time, every time.

Enrollment Instructions: login to your online banking, select Bill Pay, and follow the prompts on screen to complete registration.

Popmoney – Simple person-to-person payments

Stop writing checks to pay for rent, pay your babysitter or pay back someone for dinner. Popmoney allows you to make personal payments to anyone as long as you have their email address or mobile phone number.

Popmoney Access: login to your online banking, select “Move Money”, select “External Transfers” and follow the steps on your screen.

eStatements – Ditch your paper statements

Digitize your monthly bank statements and cut back on paper clutter with eStatements! Each statement is delivered within Online Banking and is shielded behind industry-standard security.

Enrollment Instructions: Simply login to online banking and click the eStatements button to get started.


Mobile Banking - Manage Your Money on Your Terms

Whether you check in on your finances once a day or once a week, it’s important to have access when you need it.
Mobile Banking puts the robust power of Online Banking in the palm of your hands to take anywhere.

What You Can Do with Mobile Banking

Our app features a number of great tools focused on giving you as much convenience as you need at any moment:

  • Check your account balances as you head out the door for dinner or a night out.
  • Make a transfer between your checking and savings account if an emergency arises.
  • Make deposits on your own time with Mobile Deposit.
  • Randomly remembered a bill you need to pay? Do it using BillPay within the app.
  • And much more!

You must be an Online Banking user to enroll in Mobile Banking. If you already have an Online Banking profile, tap the icon of your smartphone’s native app store to be taken to our app for downloading. You can also search “Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank Mobile Banking” within your app store as well.

Text and Telephone Banking

No data plan or mobile phone? No problem! You can use Text Banking or Telephone Banking to complete simple transactions and stay up to date on your account.

Text Banking Features

  • Text 454545
  • Here are some available commands to text (printable wallet card with commands)
  • BAL: Current and available balances for your primary designated account
  • LAST: The last five transactions on your primary account
  • BAL ALL: Current balances for all of the accounts you have with us
  • Customize alerts you would like to receive, including designated balance alerts, weekly balance notifications, and cleared transactions

Signing Up For Text Banking

 

If you have not registered for text banking you must:

  1. Log into your online banking account
  2. Select additional services tab
  3. Select mobile banking and alerts
  4. Enter cellphone number to receive activation code
  5. Designate your primary account

Telephone Banking

If online, mobile, or text banking is not right for you, telephone banking is an excellent alternative to receive account information when the Bank is closed or you can't make it into a branch.

  • Newburyport Bank's Telephone Banking allows you 24-hour access to your accounts
  • Check your account balances, cleared items, direct deposits, and loans
