Newburyport Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Spencer Wilkinson to Vice President, Team Leader -Commercial Portfolio Management. Wilkinson is based in the Bank’s Dover, N.H. office and reports to Mary Beth Parker.
“Spencer has become someone our lenders rely on every day,” said Parker, Executive Vice President and Senior Lending Officer. “He brings sharp credit insight, strong leadership, and a genuine commitment to helping both our team and our clients succeed.”
In his new role, Wilkinson manages a team of Commercial Portfolio Managers and oversees all aspects of the Bank’s Commercial Portfolio Management function. He supports multiple lenders in managing their loan portfolios and works closely with Credit Administration, lenders, and Commercial Loan Administrators to maintain high-quality credit administration and risk management practices.
“Commercial portfolio management plays a critical role in supporting lenders and maintaining strong credit practices,” said Wilkinson. “I look forward to contributing in this new leadership role and helping our team continue to deliver for the Bank and our clients.”
Wilkinson brings seven years of industry experience to the role. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Marketing from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine. He also remains engaged with his alma mater, presenting each semester to students on the topic of transitioning from college to the professional workplace.
A resident of Sanford, Maine, Wilkinson is active in the RMA Young Professionals Group and previously served as Secretary of the Realize Maine Network Steering Committee. In his free time, he enjoys snowmobiling, skiing, fishing, and hiking.
