The Newburyport Bank Charitable Foundation has donated $10,000 to the Newburyport Education Foundation (NEF). The funds will be used to support the development of skills through STEM projects, including analytical thinking and innovation; complex problem-solving; and creativity, originality and initiative. STEM-related careers are among the fastest-growing and a general facility with technology is an asset in most other career fields as well.
The NEF secures additional private sector money to allow for improved curriculum and facilities and other projects with educational benefits. Newburyport Bank, is proud to be a steadfast supporter of the NEF and its mission to deliver meaningful, lasting enhancements to public education. By supporting the NEF through its Charitable Foundation, Newburyport Bank is helping to ensure that students have access to modern resources, forward-thinking instruction, and enriched learning environments—regardless of budget constraints.
“STEM education is essential for both individual development and societal progress,” stated Jim McCarthy, Newburyport Bank President and COO. “By exposing students to hands-on learning and real-world applications, STEM opens doors to high demand careers and drives innovation. We applaud NEF for their efforts and are proud to support them.”
